Our Client’s Venture Ever After, Creates a Space for N/A Enjoyment

We are so excited about our client, Ariel Dunitz-Johnson’s venture, Ever After. This unique bar and venue will be focused on the delight of socializing that doesn't have to be accompanied by alcohol.

The space with design help from local artist Lisa Congdon will offers a variety of n/a beverages as well as offers space for events and a marketplace. In their own words: “There is such an amazing sober community in Portland, but I noticed there wasn’t a space to gather and socialize and hang out that wasn’t a recovery space.”

The concept of the bar was been born from the increasing demand for non-alcoholic options in nightlife settings. The 'sober curious' movement has gained momentum in Portland, reflecting a growing desire for healthier lifestyle choices without limiting activities.

In collaboration with other key members of the non-alcoholic beverage and bar scene, every detail has been considered - from offering non-alcoholic mocktails and seasonal specialties, to gluten-free food and non-alcoholic wine.

One of the most inspiring aspects is the attention given to accessibility. Features such as adjustable seating, wheelchair access, and robust HVAC systems are designed to make people with disabilities and those who are immunocompromised feel safe. Neurodiversity consulting has played a critical role in planning the space, ensuring that everyone can feel at ease when they visit Ever After.

But Ever After won’t just be a bar. It is meant to be a gathering space, hosting and supporting Portland’s community, with events, classes, workshops, shows and more. Bars are not just about the drinks they serve, they can intentionally create an atmosphere that helps to forge memories and foster human connection.

Ever After’s commitment to providing a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space where everyone can enjoy a night out is evident. They plan to open by the end of year with crowdfunding efforts soon to be underway. We are so excited to watch and support alongside our client as they blaze this trail in our community.
